No. 199 Xingang West Road is located in the core of Haizhu District, Guangzhou — one of Yijiati’s elevator retrofit projects in Guangzhou’s city center. The Xingang West Road corridor is home to numerous aging residential communities, including buildings 155, 162, and 166, with dense demand for elevator retrofitting. In August 2017, Liwan District became the first in Guangzhou to implement a RMB 100,000 subsidy per elevator for old building retrofits. Multiple districts subsequently followed, with Haizhu District also introducing a RMB 100,000 subsidy per elevator, providing strong policy support for retrofit projects.
